“Not Only Arabs Lived in Lifta”

The Jerusalem District Court has cancelled the tender for the construction of luxury homes in place of the ruins of the Jerusalem village of Lifta.

Ilan Shtier, who filed the petition against the tender says this is not only a victory for the Arabs who lived in Lifta before 1948, but also for the Yemenite and Kurdistani immigrants who lived there in the fifties, with some of them still living there today.
